Natural FlavouringsUpdated 3 months ago

All flavourings used within our products are fully compliant with regulation 1334/2008 including the definition of what a natural flavouring component shall be, the maximum levels it shall be used up to and what substances are approved for use as flavourings including any composition.

*For example, unless the reference is given to the source i.e. ‘natural lemon flavouring’, then 95% of that flavouring must be derived from lemons. If no source is mentioned, it means the product is derived from ‘natural flavouring substances'. 'Natural flavouring substance’ shall mean a flavouring substance obtained by appropriate physical, enzymatic or microbiological processes from material of vegetable, animal or microbiological origin either in the raw state or after processing for human consumption by one or more of the traditional food preparation processes listed in Annex II. Natural flavouring substances correspond to substances that are naturally present and have been identified in nature.
